Oscar Dalvit at TEDx: the Relational Engineering of the Dispari
On 31 August 2025, at the Museo Essenza Lucano in Tursi, the founder of Segnalazione Vincente brought a single thesis to a TEDx stage: real innovation in relationships is not born from the meeting of similar people, but from the meeting of different ones.

Fifteen minutes
"Relational Engineering: the Power of Dispari Encounters"
It's the title of the talk, and it's also the shortest summary of the discipline ever spoken aloud outside this site.
Two people of the same weight, seated at the same table, produce predictable conversations. Two very different people — a structured company and an agile professional, for example — produce movement: one of the two has a concrete reason to move first, and the other has a concrete reason to respond.
On stage that asymmetry has a name, and it's the same word that today holds up the entire architecture: Dispari. It isn't translated even in the English version of this site.
Where the word comes from
It isn't a marketing invention, and it isn't even his own. It was handed back to him by a consultant he'd worked with, Roberto Bruno: "you're celebrating diversity. Bet everything on the power of the Dispari — most people usually only ever see the Pari (the equal) in relationships."

Why him
Relationships as a safety net
The part of the talk that explains why this discipline was founded by this person and not someone else is the 2013 collapse.
An online video game company that grew large enough to open an office in Hong Kong, and then it was over: Amazon's arrival on the market and the Italian economic crisis of those years. "In total darkness, I discovered that the crisis couldn't take my relationships away from me."
Friends bring him to Malaga, where he happens to meet the developers of a system for building applications without programming. A handshake gives birth to the second company.
What this has to do with a method
The point isn't biographical. If relationships are the one asset a crisis can't take from you, then they're an asset, and an asset is managed instead of left to chance. That's the definition of Relational Capital, and it's the point where a personal story becomes a law.
The question that changes everything
Not "what's in it for me", but "how can I really help them"
The talk presents it as a personal discovery. In the discipline it has become a mechanism with a name and an accounting method.
-
Listening
Reciprocity doesn't start with an exchange, it starts with a different question. Whoever arrives with the bill already worked out is spotted immediately, and receives nothing.
-
The fear
Reciprocating is frightening because it exposes you: you're protective of your contacts and you put your reputation on the line. It's the Sixth law seen from the side of whoever has to decide whether to introduce someone or not.
-
The dosage
The key is calibrating help to trust — and that's no longer a judgement call: it's what AIRA© calculates from each person's Relational Footprint.
On stage Oscar also cites his own observation drawn from more than five hundred meetings. We don't repeat it here as a figure: it has no stated time window and no verifiable method, and on this site numbers are published with both or not published at all (Fifth law). The ones that have them are on /prove/.
Where it continues
From the stage to the method
A TEDx talk lasts fifteen minutes and exists to let an idea in. The rest of the work happens elsewhere, and it's the boring part: the six laws, the glossary that names them, the numbers that say whether it works.
The meeting of similar people confirms. The meeting of different people produces.
The first step
Where does your company stand, in one number
AIRA-SCAN© measures the relational capital your company already has: ten questions, three minutes, no registration. Your browser calculates the score and shows it immediately, along with the dimensions where you're losing the most points.
Then the extended report arrives by email, and within one working day a person calls you: you look at the result together and assess whether the AIRA-DX© Stoic Analysis makes sense for your company. It's free and limited to twelve a week, so it isn't owed to whoever does the check-up: it's decided together.
