Segnalazione Vincente in Economy, alongside 10 other clients

In its September 2021 issue, Economy — the monthly business insert of Il Sole 24 Ore — ran an editorial feature on Segnalazione Vincente and ten businesses that were using the method at the time. It was the first time the category appeared in a national publication.

What it told

The piece, bylined Vittorio Petrone, told a simple idea that was new at the time: a business can cut its customer acquisition cost by activating the people who already know it, instead of buying attention at auction.

Alongside Segnalazione Vincente, ten businesses applying the method were featured: real-estate agencies, business and tax consulting, water treatment, training, damage compensation claims. Different sectors, same mechanism.

Their names and the contact details from that time are not reproduced here: they were links to campaign pages that no longer exist today, and the commercial terms of back then do not describe today's.

One word at a time

What has changed since 2021

Two things, and the second is the one that matters.

The token model

In 2021 the mechanism rested on a cash reward for every referral that led to a sale. It works, and it has a known limit: it pays for the gesture, not the reputation, so it rewards whoever passes on more names instead of whoever passes on good ones.

Today the unit of exchange is different: the Match Credit, a right to an introduction that changes hands — and the mechanism behind it is delegated reciprocity, which lets someone promise reciprocity without having to deliver it in person.

A column instead of an article

In 2021 Economy ran a piece on us. Since 2026 the discipline has had a two-page monthly column on that same publication: not a mention, a partnership. It's proof that the category exists outside the site that tells its story too.

And in the meantime the discipline that had no name back then was born: Relational Engineering, with a Founding Charter and six laws.

Where your company stands, in one number

AIRA-SCAN© measures the Relational Capital your company already has: ten questions, three minutes, no registration required. Your browser calculates the score and it appears immediately, along with the dimensions where you're losing the most points.

The extended report then arrives by email, and within one working day someone calls you: you look at the result together and assess whether the AIRA-DX© Stoic Analysis makes sense for your company. It's free and limited to twelve a week, so it isn't owed to whoever takes the check-up: it's decided together.

Would you rather just talk it through? The number is 0549 888808.
