How AI and Relational Engineering Turn Business Relationships into Opportunities
There's a precise point where the machine stops and people's work begins. Knowing where that point is is the difference between using artificial intelligence and just talking about using it.

The discipline's name is already the answer
"Engineering" and "relational" are two different crafts
Engineering
This is the part that can be calculated: who knows whom, along which supply chains, with what density. AIRA© works on declared Relational Footprints and suggests who it makes sense to introduce to whom. It's a scale problem — in a network of two thousand people, no one can hold it all in their head — and scale problems are exactly the ones a machine solves better than a human being.
Relational
This is the part that can only be done: introducing yourself, listening, putting yourself on the line. No algorithm stakes its own reputation on your behalf, and the Sixth law says that's precisely the gesture that gives a referral its value. If the risk belongs to no one, the introduction is worth nothing — and software never risks anything.
The calculation proposes. A person runs the risk.
In practice
Three things AI does here, and one it doesn't
The 2024 version of this page listed them in the abstract. They're worth more with the number that measures their effect sitting right next to them.
-
It chooses
It evaluates the possible pairs and proposes only those above an affinity threshold. As of 16 August 2026, the pairs the algorithm has evaluated since launch number 4,112,669: this is exactly the kind of work a machine exists for.
-
It orders time
It tells whoever runs the network who to call back today and why, instead of leaving it to memory. It's the most tedious part, and the one whose absence kills almost every network.
-
It learns from mistakes
Every meeting produces feedback that feeds back into the next calculation. A system that doesn't collect the judgement of the people who met doesn't improve: it repeats.
What it doesn't do: it doesn't promise the meeting will go well. 68% of matches hit the right person on the first try — from launch to 13/08/2026, measured as a rating ≥ 4.5 on the first match, excluding Scouting_Matches. 6% of delivered matches receive no response at all — last 30 days as of 13/08/2026, down from 10% before. One number says it works, the other says how much, and the two windows are different: the first is since launch, the second is a rolling window. They are two separate measures, not two faces of the same number, and putting them in the same sentence without saying so is the most common way to make both of them false (Fifth law).
The mistake to avoid
Automating the wrong part
When a business discovers these tools, the temptation is to automate the contact itself. It's the fastest way to destroy the very advantage you were looking for.
A personalised message from a machine is still a mass message: the recipient notices, and from that point on treats every communication from you as noise. Automated personalisation isn't close to a relationship — it's a counterfeit of one, and it costs more than it earns.
What you can automate without doing damage is everything that happens before the meeting: choosing who's worth meeting, the reminder, recording what happened. The moment two people actually talk stays manual, and that's a requirement of the method, not a technological limit.
The first step
Where your company stands, in one number
AIRA-SCAN© measures the Relational Capital your company already has: ten questions, three minutes, no registration. Your browser calculates the score and shows it immediately, with the dimensions where you lose the most points.
The extended report then arrives by email, and within one working day someone calls you: you look at the result together and assess whether the Stoic Analysis AIRA-DX© makes sense for your company. It is free and limited to twelve a week, so it is not owed to whoever takes the check-up: it is decided together.
